This Easter Weekend we will be bringing you the 3rd edition of Street Eats, the Halal Gems flagship food festival. For three days we will be taking over the iconic Old Spitalfields Market, bringing you London's biggest street food festival as well as a special line up of events on Friday 19th April to Sunday 21st April.  

Please note this is a card only event and cash will not be accepted

We’re back with some of our favourites from last year, plus more new traders including everything from the best in Venezuelan cuisine and hot dogs to the best jollof rice in town ... and of course, back by popular demand, there will be burgers. Vendors include Oli Baba's famous halloumi fries, double stacked burgers and macaroni lollies by Band of Burgers, ginger-beer battered fried chicken by Only Jerkin, Afro-Fusion boxes with Bengali and Nigerian spices by Cally Munchy, the best pulled beef rendang by Makatcha, vegans we have you covered with Ethiopian goodness by Merkamo, Masala chai, mango lassi and samosa chaat from Chit Chaat Chai, Persian ice-cream including baklava ice cream - yes you read right, Venezuelan hot dogs and pulled beef arepas... just to name a few.

We're also bringing you an incredible line up at poetry night, a live interview with Darjeeling Express' very own Asma Khan and a storytelling workshop for kids. These are free to access but please note spaces are limited and on a first come first serve basis.

ONLY JERKIN' - Ginger beer battered fried chicken

EMPRESS MARKET - Slow cooked beef steak cooking in a family blend of garam masala alongside coriander chutney, tamarind sauce in a brioche bun [only Sat & Sun]

OLI BABA'S - Halloumi Fries drizzled with pomegranate molasses, za'atar yogurt, pomegranate seeds, mint, sumac & wilder bee chilli honey

MAKATCHA - Indonesian street food ft. slow cooked beef rendang

THE MAC FACTORY - Mac and Cheese ft. Mac a Rena, halal beef chilli, jalapeños, sour cream and nachos

DARLISH - Persian ice cream ft. their infamous baklava ice cream! 

CHIT CHAAT CHAI - Indian street food ft. samosa chaat, mango lassi, Pani puri and masala chai 

WHEEL CAKE ISLAND - Taiwanese Wheelcakes, fluffy buns filled with a filling of your choice

FRIESDAY - Hand crafted Beligian fries with a selection of sauces and homemade toppings

MERKAMO - Plant based vegan goodness including okra, dahl, spinach and injera 

CALLY MUNCHY - Afro-fusion Street food ft. their Bengali and Nigerian spiced chicken [only Fri & Sat]

BAND OF BURGERS - Double stacked burgers and macaroni lollies 

MERRY BOX KITCHEN - Senegalese jollof rice boxes with chicken, yassa fish and plaintain

PABELLON VENEZUELAN FOOD - Fluffy arepas filled with pulled beef and plantain 

THE GARDEN OF EDUN - Nigerian food ft. Cassava chips [only on Friday]

DOGERS - Venezuelan hot dogs

CHIPSY - Biryani burger, literally a rice bun with fillings! 

ROLA WALA - Twisted Indian Street Food

CAFE DE NATA  - The king of Portuguese pastries

BUBBLE WAFFLES & HAND ROLLED ICE CREAM - For your sweet tooth cravings!

Our charity partner is Sufra NW London, Sufra works on the front-line in the fight against hunger and poverty whilst also offering a wide range of services and community-based activities that empower individuals and families to overcome impoverishment and social isolation.

Please note - a prayer space will be available.

Those with no wristband will be charged a premium on each transaction at Street Eats stalls.

Wristband holders will also benefit from priority access during peak times when we will be operating a one in one out entry policy at the main gates.

Wristbands are valid for all days as long as you don’t take them off.

No refunds will be processed after Friday 19th April
