SNOWDROP is a mnemonic, which stands for sensitivity; non-verbal; openminded; words; de-escalate; reflect; organise and pause.  This course is an introduction to communication skills focusing on:

  • Recognising body language
  • Managing our own emotions and self-awareness
  • Rapport building and de-escalation techniques
  • The subconscious impact of words—framing conversations to reduce resistance and encourage co-operation
  • Techniques for building resilience, personal wellbeing and self-care

You will observe a role play and have the chance to practise your communication skills.

Refreshments will be provided.
