From Bach to Brubeck

Enjoy an evening of classical and jazz music in the historic surroundings of the Henry Sandon Hall at the Royal Porcelain Works in Worcester. All proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle on the night will be donated to St Richard’s Hospice.

Orchestra Pro Anima will play the first set, followed by the Ralph Allin Jazz Quartet in the second set.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink and light refreshments. A bar will be available.

Orchestra Pro Anima
Under the artistic direction of Michael Bochmann MBE, Orchestra Pro Anima brings together a distinguished group of musicians whose long-standing collaboration as members of the English String Orchestra has forged a deep musical understanding and shared artistic vision.

They generally play without a conductor, creating spontaneity, a relaxed atmosphere and a feeling of oneness with the audience. There’s a strong emphasis on communication, where the audience feels part of the music-making experience. The orchestra name pro anima means ‘for the soul’, reflecting the desired impact of the music on the listener.

Ralph Allin Jazz Quartet
Ralph Allin has toured with the legendary Van Morrison and has performed with the likes of Jools Holland and Andre Previn. He’s a multi award winning violinist known for musical versatility, stretching the boundaries of the violin as we know it. Delight in a dizzying dance of dexterity and witty asides from a musician who has entertained King Charles and performed at Ronnie Scott’s.
