Tim Telling

Tim Telling (Disco Sucks) . DISCO SUCKS was the club night partially responsible for the gentrification of Stroud. Often cited alongside ‘excellent schools’ and ‘good transport links’ by young middle class London couples trying to shake down their parents for a house deposit, Disco Sucks ran for years at SVA with capacity crowds and some truly harrowing clear-up sessions involving sticky floors and bins full of wee. Like most legends, the night itself is perhaps best left in the past but its DJs are somehow still alive, and even more remarkably haven’t sold all their records to pay for rehab: Tim Telling will play good and unusual records, probably starting with some slow electronic/rock music made by weird people that nobody liked at the time, then maybe some moody disco or ‘Balearic’ and probably The Doors at the end.

Liam Large

DJ and compiler Liam Large is hosting a series of one-off parties in conjunction with Jazz Stroud, focused on bringing some of the most renowned and distinguished all-vinyl selectors to the town, often for the first time. For this party he will be joining with DJ Boom Operator from La Bomba Bristol, playing records from the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond.

Globe travelling crate-digger, Liam Large! Compiler is the legendary Jazzman Records and founder of Jukebox Jam label/club night. Liam has also (for the last 10 years!) ran East London's much-beloved Tropical Yard club. Focusing broadly on Afro-Latin sounds, all played from original vinyl, expect to hear intense, frenetic and hypnotic rhythms from the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond.

As founder of the influential Jukebox Jam R&B club night, Liam has also worked for Jazzman Records since the early 2000s contributing to many compilations and re-releases, plus taking regular trips to the US in search of old records alongside Jazzman founder Gerald Short. He DJs regularly in London and around Europe playing across the spectrum of vintage black music – soul, funk, R&B, blues, jazz, reggae, hip hop, Latin, African, Caribbean and more.

Sasha & Rosa Gillsmith, Joicey Dj Collective

Disco Soul Sisters will be bringing the Joicey Dj Collective vibe to this late summer party

Izzy Martini

Playing a mix of disco, nu-soul, house and funky grooves. playing a mix of soul, disco, house and moody grooves.

Moina Moin

Audio visual artist and DJ, Moina Moin rocks your world with hard core mixtures of most things. A magpie of squelches and rubber ball rhythms, Moina’s sets seem to follow Colin Firth’s spontaneous, Mama Mia approach to life, as seen in her ceramic sculpture electronica performances and her work with Mermaid Chunky. Expect a soup of folklore, cumbia, Afro-Latin music, wonky electronica and some audio books gems.
