Friday Afternoons - Bring Your Own Furniture (BYOF) - 4 week block

All experience levels are very welcome (beginner friendly!)

This relaxed, creative Friday class is as much about the process as it is the end result — think good chat, plenty of tea, and a lovely sociable atmosphere while you work on your own project.

Bring along a footstool, small chair, or something more ambitious — teaching is tailored to your piece and your experience level. A small chair or stool is a great place to start, but don’t be put off tackling something bigger — it’s often just a bit more fabric, not more difficult! Larger or more complex pieces might take more than one block, but you’re always welcome to come back and finish up.

Classes are kept small, so there’s plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout.

What should I bring?

Just your furniture and finishing fabric.

We stock all the essentials — foam, webbing, and sundries — available at cost price. If you’re unsure what might suit your project or skill level, just get in touch beforehand. You’re very welcome to browse our in-studio fabric library or bring your own. We also have trade accounts with most major suppliers and can often offer a wee discount on retail prices.

Booking & Waiting List proceddure:

Our regular Friday Classes are very popular and spaces are limited. Those attending the current block are given first opportunity to continue into the next before remaining spaces are offered to the waiting list and then released for general booking.

If you'd like to join us but don't see a space available, please pop your name on the waiting list - new spaces do become available and we'd love to welcome you to the workshop.

Blocks generally run consecutively, following the local school term calendar.

Please note; Bookings are for a defined date(s) block. Unfortunately, we cannot offer reimbursement for individual classes missed within a block. However, we will endeavour to accommodate you at one of our other classes where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.
