Christy Bennett has appeared at Studio5 several times and has always been a crowd favorite. It is high time we welcome her back. Christy is not only a wonderful vocalist and delightful person, she always creates performances that are highly specific and very entertaining. For this appearance at Studio5 she has curated an assortment of songs curated from the Great American Songbook, but here’s the twist: Each song will be paired with Alec Wilder's critique from his book American Popular Song: The Great Innovators. From one of America's most opinionated (and hilarious) curmudgeons comes an assortment of comments that will make you reexamine the lyrics and music to each song. This is going to be such fun!
