We never get tired of asking guitarist/composer John Moulder to come back because he always shows up with something thought provoking and musically fascinating. For this appearance he has assembled not only a stellar band, he has asked our friend, multiple Grammy-winning harmonica/piano player Howard Levy to be his special guest! This is an embarrassment of musical riches. John has designed a program for us that reimagines well known standards in entirely new ways: Re-harmonization, different time signatures, etc., including contrafacts (a fancy music school term to describe songs with newly composed melodies based on chord progressions of existing pieces – don’t you feel smarter now?). This promises to be a highly entertaining and compelling evening of music delivered by absolute masters at the top of their game. –SR
