Corky Siegel, harmonica/piano/vocal
Randy Sabien, violin/piano/vocal

When I was a kid, I thought it was great that when musicians go to work they call it “playing”. I wanted to do that. All these decades later, getting the chance to play for a living is still one of the great delights of my life. It feels almost subversive … like I’ve gamed the system. Over the course of my career I have known and interacted with thousands of musicians and I cannot think of a single artist who embodies that spirit of playfulness more than Corky Siegel. As much as he is a renowned blues legend, he is a musical imp. A funky elf. And his music makes me grin from ear to ear. Every time he joins us at Studio5 he does something completely different, and this time he will be joined by the masterful multi-instrumentalist, Randy Sabien. I can’t wait to hear these two engage in a fun-filled evening of musical cat-and-mouse. –SR

IMPORTANT!
6:30-7:30PM
FREE PRE-SHOW “SYMPHONIC BLUES” UNVEILING WITH CORKY – NO TICKETS REQUIRED!
For the first time at Studio5 we are offering a special free event with our artist before their scheduled performance. Corky recently completed a beautiful new symphonic blues work and we are honored that he will be sharing parts of that recording with our audience in an informal setting before he and Randy Sabien take the stage for their show at 8PM. From 6:30-7:30 Corky will present an "unveiling" of Symphonic Blues Nº6, which Corky considers the most important work in his 60 years of performance. He will play some recorded excerpts, will be open for questions, and will tell some wild stories about the history, the composition, and the recording process. Everyone is invited – no tickets required! Please join us. "I don't break any rules, I just immerse myself in the ecstatic work, and then I turn around to joyfully see a litany of broken rules strewn behind me" - Corky Siegel
