Our good friend (and remarkable pianist) Ben Lewis introduced me to Sally Blandon and her music last year. She's wonderful. Ben performs with Sally regularly and felt she'd be a great fit for our audience (click on the video above for a cool sample). We are so happy to have found a date to present her at Studio5 with her tribute to Amy Winehouse, titled Tears Dry On Their Own – click HERE to learn more about her musical mission and project. Sally specifically requested Valentine's Day for this performance, and when I asked why, she said, "Oh that's easy – Amy Winehouse was an incurable romantic!" So come join us for an evening that celebrates a great artist's music – her classic hits and other hidden treasures – with a touch of romance, a dose of jazz (music that Amy loved) and some inspiring context to give us a deeper sense of this brilliant artist, complete with her successes and struggles, love and heartbreak. –SR
