I tend to write these event descriptions in chronological order, and it just cracked me up that our previous show was a quiet solo guitar concert. This one is a little different! Prepare yourselves for the high-octane nine-piece horn-based New Nostalgia! Click on the video above for an exciting taste. This is one of those situations where I kept hearing about these guys from all sorts of people, and actually have tried to bring them in a couple of times but we just couldn't find a date that worked for everyone until now (did I mention that they have nine musicians?). Here is a description of the band from their website:

New Nostalgia is a Chicago-based fusion horn band, blending jazz, pop and rock flavors together in hard-hitting instrumental ensemble arrangements. Led by saxophonist and composer/arranger Neil Carson, New Nostalgia straddles genre lines with intricate arranging and improvisation, singable melodies, and unstoppable rock energy.

This is going to be so much fun! I am very happy we got this on the book and I really look forward to hearing this muscular group live.  –SR
