Live at Studio5! ALEXANDER/McLEAN PROJECT

Dee Alexander, vocal
John McLean, guitar
Karl Montzka, piano
Charles Heath, drums

It’s been too long since Dee Alexander and John McLean graced our stage together, and I don’t know about you, but I’m overdue for a fresh dose. Internationally known and highly respected (read more below), vocalist Dee Alexander's soulful musicality and utterly joyous stage presence is captivating, and guitarist John McLean's arranging and playing is nothing short of masterful. It's a powerful creative pairing featuring a fabulous band. In addition to their own spin on some well known standards, Dee & John will be performing new compositions from an upcoming recording project. Be among the first to hear new work from a pair of the most significant voices in contemporary jazz! Click on the video above for a delicious sample and then join us for an exciting evening with the powerful Alexander/McLean Project. –SR

JAZZ LEGACIES FELLOW
BTW in case you hadn't heard, earlier this year Dee was one of only 12 musicians named a Jazz Legacies Fellow by the Mellon Foundation, honoring artists whose work has shaped and continues to impact the evolution of jazz in the United States and around the world. It was a HUGE deal and richly deserved. Read more about it HERE. You can congratulate Dee when you see her ; )
