DDD x Lightning Society: Drawing Salon

This fall, DDD takes over Lightning Society in SoHo for an afternoon Drawing Salon bringing together figure drawing, drinks, conversation, and creative exchange.

About DDD

DDD is a community built around experiencing contemporary art differently. Through drawing salons, artist studio visits, private collections, galleries, and residencies, DDD brings together a growing network of art-curious and art-engaged New Yorkers to discover artists, make art, and meet one another.

Our Drawing Salons return to the roots of DDD: drawing as a social experience. No previous drawing experience is necessary. Come to draw seriously, experiment, or simply try something new.

About Lightning Society

Lightning Society is a new cultural members club in the heart of SoHo, created around shared experiences, creative exchange, and community.

Designed as a contemporary interpretation of New York's salon culture, the club brings together art, ideas, performance, conversation, and social life under one roof.

The Afternoon

3:00–3:30 PM — Welcome Drinks
Arrive, grab a drink, explore the space, and meet the DDD and Lightning Society communities.

3:30–5:00 PM — Figure Drawing
A 90-minute live figure drawing session. Materials will be provided, and all levels are welcome—from complete beginners to experienced artists.

5:00–6:00 PM — Show & Tell
We close the afternoon by bringing everyone back together. Share what you've made if you'd like, see how others interpreted the same poses, have another drink, and stay for conversation.

No drawing experience required. All materials included and an open bar.
