About Mistress Chiaki
Based in Tokyo, Chiaki is a professional Japanese Dominatrix, an educator and a life coach (counsellor / therapist). She regularly teaches traditional Japanese shibari in Tokyo and abroad. Chiaki has studied shibari under Akira Naka for about 10 years. Last year, she was officially recognized as his deshi (disciple)
As a BDSM player, she considers herself an all-rounder, with an extensive specialization in traditional Japanese shibari. She has plenty of tips and techniques to share from her experience as a dominatrix tying diverse bodies, especially male bodies.
Her teachings are less about the external structure of the rope and more about the internal perception of the senses. Even better if you can free yourself from seeking external validation and internal judgement; just be present in the moment…:
In a tatami room with no music, you can focus all your attention on the sounds of the ropes tightening and of our breathing. It takes time to complete, so don’t rush to the end, but enjoy the process of getting there.
The first rope is to help you breathe.
The second rope is to lead you away from your self.
The third rope is to hold you tight.

Nawa Kai
Nawa Kai can be translated into a “rope meeting” which is a tradition in Naka Style. It is a place to share stories, experiences about Kinbaku - the history, the philosophy, the culture and the aesthetics.
This special Nawa Kai will consist of an interview/discussion followed by demonstration.
The interview and discussion will be led by Mistress Chiaki and Naoko, two female deshi (disciples) of Naka Akira. They will share their Shibari journey, their unique interpretations of Naka Style from a female perspective and their experience tying with people from different backgrounds.
It will be followed by short demonstrations where they tie freely and organically - without rehearsal and without music. Mistress Chiaki will be tying with a male submissive (to be announced) and Naoko will be tying with a female rope bottom.
The Nawa Kai will be conducted in Japanese with English translation.
In order to recreate the intimate Nawa Kai experience in Japan, limited number of places are available for this event. Priority will go to workshop students. Workshop ticket holders will receive an access code to purchase the Nawa Kai tickets.
