St Werburghs Community Centre invites to you share a feast with us!

We would like to celebrate all things green and bring the community together to look at how we can make a positive difference to climate issues.

Our Green Feast event will take place on Friday 14th July from 3.30pm to 7pm and we would love you to get involved. This is a follow on event from our last Green Feast. We want to discuss in greater detail how we can move our local neighbourhood toward a more sustainable future. 

The aim is to enable the community to come together:

• to share knowledge and small steps everyone can take to tackle climate change, focusing on low carbon food, peer learning in a fun, engaging way where everyone is welcomed.
• to offer activities for all ages making climate action playful and stepping away from anxiety inducing seriousness.
• to start on investigating our neighbourhood’s 'walkability' which impacts transport modes and choices.

What's on offer so far:

• a FREE casual dinner for up to 50 people
• fund activities with We the Curious to occupy kids and inspire learning
• a film showing for all the kids while adults can discuss next steps 
• involvement from local school Green Families Group
• The Centre for Sustainable Energy will share information, resources and games all to help you reduce your energy use to save you money off your bills and cut down on carbon emissions. They will also have an activity to start conversations about community energy initiative ideas for St Werburghs.

5pm - 7pm: a film screening with pizza to allow children to play and be together and grown-ups to map out our next steps and share pledges .
