Join Robert and Hollie Holden for a very special 4-day miracles retreat in New York that includes a private screening of two films on A Course in Miracles, plus a visit to Columbia University*, where the story of A Course in Miracles began.
A Course in Miracles was published in 1975. It has been hailed as a modern classic of spiritual literature and has inspired a generation of thought leaders and spiritual teachers including Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Oprah Winfrey, and many others.
The title for our miracles retreat is inspired by a story between Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford told in the Preface to A Course in Miracles. Helen and Bill, two professors of medical psychology at Columbia University, were struggling in their relationship with each other and their team. When Bill said, “There must be another way” it activated a chain of events that led to A Course in Miracles being written.

In There Must Be Another Way, Robert and Hollie present ten 90-minute classes on key teachings and practices from A Course in Miracles. Together with fellow Course students, you will do deep inner work to support you in your relationships, work and spiritual growth. Here is a brief description of the classes and key themes we will cover:
✨ Miracles are a New Beginning – “Be confident that on this day there is a new beginning,” says A Course in Miracles. The Course teaches that no matter what has happened in your past, nothing can limit the possibility of miracles in the present. In this class, we work on making an “inner shift” that changes the way you experience the world.
✨ From Fear to Love – The Course teaches we have two states of mind: fear and love. Miracles happen by what the Course calls “the undoing of fear” and living a more love-centered life. The Course teaches: “Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense everything that comes from love is a miracle.”
✨ You are not alone – In this class, we address the sense of separation from God and each other that makes us feel so alienated and alone. We work with Course practices that help overcome separateness and enjoy more intimacy, connection, grace, and inspiration. “If you knew Who walks beside you on the way that you have chosen, fear would be impossible,” says the Course.
✨ From Scarcity to Abundance – “Each day a thousand treasures come to me with every passing moment,” teaches the Course. In this class, we focus on removing the blocks to abundance. We work on key Course lessons and exercises that help you to grow and prosper in every area of your life: health, money, creativity, friendships, and love.
✨ The Miracle of Forgiveness – When you forgive yourself, or someone else, it changes the trajectory of your life. “Forgiveness is the home of miracles,” teaches the Course. In this class, we focus on the “how to” of forgiveness.
✨ From Crucifixion to Resurrection – Here, we study what the Course calls The Easter Story and the mystical journey of Three Days that takes us from crucifixion to resurrection. We explore the Course teachings on the Dark Night of the Soul and how to practice resurrection in your life.
✨ One Problem, One Solution – In this class, we study one of the most powerful teachings of the Course. “Above all, remember that you have one problem, and that the problem has one solution,” says the Course. We work with the Course to help solve our problems and live a more abundant, happier, and peaceful life.
✨ Living a Mystical Life – In this powerful class, we explore an ancient mystical teaching of stone, water and wine. This teaching describes three distinct levels of working with the Course: Level 1 – a mental practice that heals your mind; Level 2 – a spiritual practice that opens your heart; and Level 3 – a mystical practice that helps you remember who you are.
✨ From Confusion to Clarity – The Course gives us many practices for opening to greater guidance from the Holy Spirit (also called “universal inspiration” and “shared inspiration”). In this class, we work with the mystical Law of Three that helps you to follow your inner guidance and live a more inspired life.
There Must Be Another Way retreat will be held in a safe and intimate setting conducive for inquiry, conversation, and miracles!
