Let's tackle the phrase "Sensual", because the use of this phrase is often misunderstood. It does doesn't mean sexual, invasive or erotic. Sensual is about an ENERGY, a CONNECTION and a FEELING that we can find when we dance Bachata socially. Dancing with a Sensual energy should feel gentle, elegant and liberating, but most of all RESPECTFUL. This is something we share in all of our classes and events.

Agustin & Alba – Musicality and Aesthetics
Agustin & Alba are our International Instructors who are based out of Barcelona. This dynamic pair will be delivering a workshop that drops the cherry on top on your day. Their flawless musicality and ability to bring a true beauty to a Bachata dance is something you have to experience. They will be taking you on a journey, encouraging you and challenging you to not use the music to your advantage but also providing you with some valuable resources and ideas, for you to embed into your own Bachata dancing. Delivering their first workshop in the UK is something not to be missed.

Angus & Övgü – Leading & Following
Angus & Övgü two of the UK’s most experienced Bachata Instructors, previous UK Champions and International Artists, will be joining us to deliver a fantastic workshop on the art of leading and following. Undoubtedly, a vitally important aspect of Bachata dancing. Through the medium of leading and following is how we experience the beauty of Bachata. In this workshop you will be asked to step out of your comfort zone and challenged. With this your knowledge, understanding and application of leading and following technique will be developed. When your leading and following skill level increases, so does your creativity and uniqueness.

Blair & Christina – Connection
Blair from the UK and Christina from Barcelona are both Certified Bachata Sensual Instructors and have both been trained by the creators of Bachata Sensual. They will be delivering your workshop on Connection. This is a very important aspect of Bachata dancing that often gets dismissed or overlooked. They will be taking you on a connection journey, explaining its importance in different contexts, how it can be used to create soft & considerate leading signals for the follower, and how it is used to allow you to be more creative and provide unforgettable social dance moments.

Destino Dance – Resources
A very experienced UK dance company based right here in the Midlands. The whole team of Rhonda, Stacey, Inga and Scott will be on hand. They will be delivering a workshop based on increasing your Bachata resources/toolkit. As a dancer, ask yourself this... how many times have you felt like you fall back in to a “default” mode when you are dancing and end up using the same things you normally do? This workshop is designed to give you some effective options to add to your toolkit and help spice up your social dance.

Dedicated Foundations Level: 
Destino will be taking you on a journey for 4.5 hours, focusing on Bachata foundations. The aim of these workshops are designed to get you comfortably dancing socially, which is where the magic happens! Don't Forget - You will also benefit from another 2 hours in your Dedicated Masterclass on Sunday afternoon, where you will begin to build on the foundations covered the day before. You are really in for a treat.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞:
To ensure that you give yourself the best experience possible, you will need to sign up to the '𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆' level for you. As a general rule, the Dedicated Foundations Level will cover and progress through foundation movement concepts and ideas as well as key details on how to apply them seamlessly to your social dancing. The Primary Level will cover more advanced concepts and ideas which require both a solid and practical understanding and application of Bachata and Bachata Sensual techniques.

During the day, there is FREE underground carpark available at Alea Casino. This carpark is accessed from Wollaton Street and can be found on the right side before reaching the back entrance steps of the casino. The car park is located as you go down a ramp. Once parked, you MUST enter your licence plate using the screen at the Cashiers Desk in the casino, which can be found under the staircase.

As our venue is a casino, you MUST bring ID. Failure to do so WILL result in not being able to enter the venue.
