SUNA ALAN is a Kurdish singer based in London, whose artistry draws on traditional Kurdish dengbêj (bard) music and is influenced by a diverse cultural background shaped by migration across different cities and cultures. She was featured in the UK-based creative journalism platform Brush & Bow’s Women Role Models Project in 2018. Suna has performed on stages such as the Southbank Centre as part of the “Women in Music” concert series, as well as the Royal Albert Hall. 
In 2024, she was the sole performer at the TEDxKings Parade St event in Cambridge, themed “TRANSFORMED.” Her work with SOAS University’s Kurdish and Rebetiko music ensembles forms part of her musical journey, alongside performances at various concerts and festivals across the UK and internationally.
Suna’s music reflects a connection to cultural heritage and lived experience, bringing together different musical traditions in a contemporary context.
