Happy Pride!!!

For this Pride special, Sunday Assembly is delighted to welcome queer disabled writer JP Seabright (she/they).

How can poetry play a part in enabling representation for people so often marginalised? Where do the bodywonky, neurospicy types fit into a community that often prizes physical looks and sexual performance?

JP’s work explores these questions, and gender, sexuality, disability and more through poetry, prose and experimental forms. As co-editor and organiser of the Arts Council–funded project eff-able, JP helps shine a spotlight on the intimate lives and erotic experiences of disabled, chronically ill, D/deaf and neurodivergent members of the queer community - creating space for voices too often unheard.

We will also be joined by poet George Violet Parker, a Pushcart, Best of the Net, Diversity Awards, and Space Crone Prize-nominated queer disabled writer and facilitator, bringing further depth and resonance to this celebration of queer disabled experience.

Sunday Assembly London is your regular and reliable stop for a welcoming, accessible and inspiring Sunday community, where you can hear talks and poetry, sing songs and make new friends.

Stay after for tea, biscuits, and chat in the Backyard Comedy Club. Then join us for a local meal, picnic, or a drink and card games at the pub.
