Learn more about how to support care-experienced young people in this online training session, delivered in partnership with Become.
This introductory session is brought to you by the Southern Universities Network, in collaboration with Become, the charity for children in care and young care leavers.
This online interactive session will:
• Explore the potential barriers and challenges that care-experienced students may face on their HE journey
• Highlight best practice in supporting young people before, during and as they leave university
Please note that this session is only available to those working in the SUN region, i.e. Dorset and Hampshire, including the Isle of Wight. WHO IS IT FOR?
This CPD is aimed at professionals working in post-16 settings, such as Sixth Forms or FE Colleges, across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight only. While pre-16 school staff are more than welcome to attend, the information will be most relevant to those supporting students who are about to apply or have already applied to higher education. It will also be suitable for those working in higher education in areas such as Widening Participation.
