From September 2025, the University of Portsmouth will be launching new Degree Apprenticeships for Nursing, Paramedic and Diagnostic Radiographer career paths.
Southern Universities Network (SUN), in collaboration with the university and staff from the NHS, will be running a training session on Wednesday 26th March to help equip careers leads, career teachers and subject teachers with further understanding about Health Degree Apprenticeships, to ultimately support their students’ progression.
The session will cover:
- Understanding Degree Apprenticeships – how do they differ from undergraduate degrees
- What does studying a degree apprenticeship in health look like?
- Talks from relevant academics/ NHS staff working within the fields of Nursing, Paramedic and Diagnostic Radiographer to give you insight into those roles and the courses on offer
- A tour of facilities
- Key hints, tips and support that your students will need if they wish to apply to a health related degree apprenticeship.
We will also be joined the University of Portsmouth’s Degree Apprenticeship team, who will be able to give you further information on other degree apprenticeships on offer at the University.
