Creative Moorlands Summer Meet

Fri 17 Jul 2026 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM Kinglsey Holt Centre, ST10 2BQ

We welcome you and would love for you to join us for our 10th Creative Moorlands get-together!

What is it and who is it for?

Creative Moorlands is a place for artists and creatives across the Moorlands to gather, share information about what they're working on, build new networks, find out about funding opportunities, share resources, and find ways to support and inspire one another.

This is a chance to meet other creatives from across the Moorlands, and to get updates from the OUTSIDE team.

Light refreshments will be provided, including a range of hot and cold drinks.

What will we be doing at Creative Moorlands Summer Meet

Following on from our spring "Planting Seeds of Hope" session, we'll explore how to help your creative practice flourish, with a series of short talks from the OUTSIDE team and guest speakers:

  • Jade Hughes, Arts, Culture & Heritage Officer at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, will share an update on the district's Cultural Strategy and what it could mean for local creatives.
  • Lydia Naylor, OUTSIDE Operations Manager, will talk about building partnerships, finding sponsors and working with volunteers.
  • Alice Mackey, OUTSIDE Marketing & Impact Lead, will share practical marketing tips and useful resources to help you promote your creative work.

After the talks, you'll have the opportunity to chat one-to-one with Jade, Lydia or Alice during informal drop-in sessions, ask questions and get tailored advice.

We'll also take part in a relaxed creative activity, with plenty of time throughout the morning for conversation, networking and sharing ideas.

Following feedback, we are pleased to introduce an opportunity for you to share your work with the group.

We invite you to get in touch to sign up for a 5‑minute slot to talk about your work. If you are a recipient of a Creative Community Commission, we would particularly love to hear about your experience of the process and your exciting new project.

By booking tickets, you consent to photography/filming from the event by OUTSIDE to promote the programme and its projects, events and activities. If you do not wish to be photographed/filmed, please inform a member of the OUTSIDE team.

Parking: The Kingsley Holt Centre has a small car park to the front of the building. The car park has a gravel surface, and can accommodate up to 6-8 cars. Free on street parking is also available.

Access Info: There is level access from the car park, to the first meeting room. Unfortunately the building is not yet fully accessible. Access to the kitchen and toilet area is via two steps. There are two standard toilet cubicles that are not suitable for wheelchair or disabled access.

At OUTSIDE we have a flexible approach to access – if you would like a further conversation or if you have any queries, please get in touch.
