Looe - SAS Mass Lobby - Community Assembly
Saturday 24 October | 3–5pm
Doors open 2:30pm | Millpool Centre, Looe https://millpoolcentre.org/about-us/
Looe residents are invited to a community assembly exploring the sewage spills affecting East Looe, Millendreath and Seaton and asking a bigger question: who should run our water?
Together, we’ll explore three possible approaches: public ownership, not-for-profit water companies, and special administration for failing companies. South East Cornwall MP Anna Gelderd has been invited to hear what Looe wants from the future of our water system.
Organized by Surfers Against Sewage and local volunteers as part of the national #CleanTheBill campaign.
All welcome — come along, hear the discussion and have your say. 🌊
Tickets: We have 50 tickets allocated for the event. Please register your place By completing this form you'll be joining our network of Ocean Activists and be kept updated on ways to get involved with us, including campaigning, volunteering and donating. The event is part of the wider Clean the Bill campaign and provides an opportunity to bring local evidence and community experience into conversations about the future of the water system. The Clean Water Bill includes proposals to protect public health and the environment and to give greater protection to recreational water users.
