Yes it's 1945 everyone and Ruby's is taking you back to the wartime years.....so why not come along and join in the VE Day Celebrations!

This has to be one of our most popular dances of the year and the atmosphere is always fantastic. We go to great lengths to decorate the hall as a period dance hall and the props just seem to keep growing every year. So why not get in the spirit and come dressed in 1940's allied uniform or civillian dress? Whilst period dress is preferred it is not essential because your company is more important to us.

To add to the authenticity of the evening we have 'My Favourite Things' performing for you so please don't miss their show. They really are a talented trio and when you listen to their harmonies and watch their slick dance routines you would think 'The Andrew Sisters' had made a comeback!

In between sets Shakin' Shep (Surrey Jive's resident DJ) will be playing some fantastic Swing and RnB music to compliment the theme. His regular music will resume next month.

Our dances are well attended with a friendly and welcome atmosphere for all. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall has a large sprung dancefloor, it is well ventilated, hand sanitiser is provided on all tables, there is a licensed bar and large free car park. The hall is situated close to the M25.
