Guitarist Martin Smith has developed a unique style that embraces blues, rock and jazz influences. He recently formed the band Corazon to pay tribute to one of his heroes, Carlos Santana. Corazon went down a storm at the club earlier this year.

For this special evening, the Martin Smith Band will go “Beyond Corazon” to explore wider influences of Latin music on blues, rock and jazz. The usual band line-up will be enhanced with two very special guests: Latin percussionist Chino Morgan (from Corazon) and saxophone virtuoso Red Brooks.

Expect to hear a heady mix of blues, soul and jazz – much of it with a Latin beat – including some new, interesting takes on Santana material.
