Open office sessions, your education matters
Join us for the Spring 2026 open office sessions, an opportunity for students to meet with Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students) Professor Kate O’Riordan and Students’ Union Education and Employability Officer Lewis Wilson.
These informal sessions take place each term and give you the chance to share your experiences of studying at Sussex, ask questions, and discuss what is working well or what could be improved.
Professor Kate O’Riordan leads on education and the student experience as part of the University Executive Team. Lewis Wilson represents students on education and employability issues through the Students’ Union.
Kate and Lewis would particularly welcome hearing about:
- how you are finding Sussex, both academically and beyond your studies
- what is working well for you, and what you would like to see more of
- your ideas for improving the student experience at Sussex
There is also a wide range of information, advice and guidance available through the Student Centre’s support services, whether you have a quick question or need help with something more complex.
You can attend on your own or bring a couple of friends, for example from your course or a society.
How your input makes a difference
Your feedback helps create positive change at Sussex. Students can share views in many ways, including taking part in surveys, joining conversations with University and Students’ Union leaders, and speaking to Student Reps who represent your academic interests. You can also explore examples of how student feedback has shaped improvements across our community on the Student Hub.
