TEAM ENTRY Sussex 7s Series 2026 - INDIVIDUAL DATES

🏉Celebrating Rugby 7s in Sussex! 🏉

Launched in 2024, the Sussex 7s Series stands as the first-ever county-wide rugby 7s competition, uniting men's and women's teams from across Sussex and the South East of England. Hosted at various clubs each summer, the Series promotes local talent and offers a platform for players aiming for both elite and social rugby experiences.

Each host venue will welcome rugby fans and newcomers to the sport, sharing their club’s history and uniqueness – providing fun, a friendly atmosphere, and memorable experiences for the competition and its guests.

Teams can choose to battle it out during several legs of intense competition, or play individual legs, as music, entertainment, and wonderful food, combine to create great family-friendly outdoor rugby events.

TEAM ENTRY INDIVIDUAL DATES PACKAGE 

£150 Per Team, Per Individual Date (approx. £12.50 per player for a single date)

• Warm-Up Round Sun 26 April - East Grinstead RFC (Sunshine 7s)
• Leg 1 Sat 16 May - Uckfield RFC
• Leg 2 Sat 6 June - Burgess Hill RFC
• Leg 3 - Grand Final Sat 11 July - Haywards Heath RFC

COMPETITION CATEGORIES

• Rugby 7s Elite - for the dedicated rugby 7s player (best for Men's Level 5 & Above/ / Women's Championship 2 & Above )
• Rugby 7s Challenger - for the emerging rugby 7s player (best for Men's Level 8-6 / / Women's National Challenge 2-1)
• Rugby 7s Social - for the casual rugby 7s player (best for Men's Merit Leagues to Level 9 / / Women's National Challenge 3 & Development)
• Touch Rugby * - for everything rugby 7s has to offer without the contact! (Social + Open Categories Available)​
• Walking Rugby * - the most inclusive non-contact format of the game
• U18s ** - for the next generation rugby 7s player

* = Not available at the "Warm-Up Round" at East Grinstead/Sunshine 7s

** = U18s Category is ONLY available at the Series Final

​Please Note

• Equal opportunities for male & female participation exists across all categories
  
• ​​​​Teams and players can enter from anywhere in the South East of England
• Teams can choose to enter in a single Leg or for the entire Series​
• Maximum of 12 Players Per Team
• Teams must have valid insurance for playing Rugby Union (and its 7s variation) in England, and provide their own pitch-side first aid
• In order to be eligible for Series prizes, teams must compete in all Legs of the Series​
• Under 18s (and those wishing to 'Play Up') must comply with Regulation 15 of the RFU for "Age Grade Rugby"
• Touch and Walking Rugby will be mixed gender (adult only), and will be played in line with the England Touch laws and regulations (for Touch Rugby) and the equivalent for Walking Rugby​
