September 25, 27, October 2, 4 and 9, 2024
This series will include five 60 minute sessions (including both presentation and time for Q&A).
After each session, participants will receive a workbook and self-assessment to help them better understand their strengths and how they can grow as nonprofit leaders.

All registrants will be provided with a link to the recording and the presentation slides following the webinar.
Five topics will be covered in the series:
Session 1: Authentic Leadership for Nonprofit Leaders - September 25, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET
The research is clear, authentic leaders are effective leaders. In this webinar, participants will learn the four practices of authentic leaders. You will receive practical tips to bring back to your workplace. Finally, participants will receive a workbook and self-assessment that will help you to continue to develop as an authentic leader.
Session 2: Transformational Leadership for Nonprofit Leaders - September 27, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET
Transformational leadership inspires employees to unite around a common vision, increases organizational effectiveness, develops stronger staff, and reduces employee turnover. In this webinar participants will learn how transformational leaders drive organizational success. You will learn the five practices of transformational leaders. You will receive practical tips to bring back to your workplace and a workbook and self-assessment that will help you to continue to develop as a transformational leader.
Session 3: Servant Leadership for Nonprofit Leaders - October 2, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET
Servant leadership inverts the traditional leadership hierarchy, viewing the leader’s role as supporting and empowering your staff. In this webinar, participants will learn how servant leaders drive organizational success, increasing staff engagement and reducing staff turnover. You will learn the eight practices of servant leaders and receive practical tips to bring back to your workplace. Finally, participants will receive a workbook and self-assessment that will help you to continue to develop as a servant leader.
Session 4: Effective Management for Nonprofit Leaders - October 4, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET
Effective managers are critical to organizational success. In this webinar participants will learn how good managers drive organizational success. You will learn the 10 practices of effective managers and receive practical tips. Finally, participants will receive a workbook and self-assessment that will help you to continue to develop as an effective manager.
Session 5: Organizational Change Management for Nonprofit Leaders - October 9, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET
Launching a new IT system, implementing a new strategic plan, restructuring a department, organizational change is one of the most common challenges facing nonprofit leaders.
In this webinar, participants will learn how to lead successful organizational change, including the eight practices of effective change leaders and the common mistakes that sabotage change efforts.
You will receive practical tips that you can bring back to your workplace and F receive a workbook and self-assessment to continue to develop as a change leader.
PRESENTER:
Having worked in the arts, health, social service, and education sectors, Mikhael Bornstein has more than twenty years of experience as a nonprofit leader.
Mikhael is an AFP Master Trainer and a frequent speaker at conferences across North America. He is the Director, Fundraising at Canadian Hearing Services, a Faculty Member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, and teaches at George Brown College and Ryerson University.
Mikhael has a Master in Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
