The Heatons to Platt Fields Garden Bike Ride

A gentle, family‑friendly ride from Thornfield Park to Platt Fields Market Garden, following quiet streets and the traffic‑free Fallowfield Loop. Perfect for all ages, this 13‑mile circular route offers safe cycling, green corridors, and a relaxed community atmosphere, with plenty of time to explore the Market Garden, buy some food, or take a picnic.

For those not familiar with Platt Fields Market Garden, you will find a working community garden full of fruit trees, vegetable beds, wildflowers, and handmade structures, with a warm, creative atmosphere. People come to relax, explore, chat, and enjoy good food. It’s a genuinely welcoming community space.

Please note all attendees must bring their own roadworthy bike. Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please check the weather on the day and dress appropriately, we will cycle rain or shine!
