Film: Emergency Briefing for the people of Crewe, Nantwich and beyond

Things are changing... What’s happening to our climate, nature, urban areas and countryside, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

In an event organised by Sustainable Nantwich in association with Nantwich Film Club and others, join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening short film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
💷 Cost of living
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health 

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, Jennifer Saunders and a range of voices from across the UK.

Doors open at 7.00pm. After the film there will be a short open discussion about what this all means for our community. We want the people of Crewe and Nantwich to talk about how the film makes them feel and what we can do locally to make a difference.

We will be inviting our MP, Connor Naismith, along with local councillors and decision-makers, asking them to join with their constituents for this important discussion about our future - not telling us what we should do, but talking together about how we can act.

Seats are just £3 to cover costs, but numbers are limited so please book in advance.

This is not some 'woke' event for 'tree huggers' and eco-warriors, it is about the future for everyone in Crewe and Nantwich. Come and learn the facts, pure and simple, and have your say about what we can do about it. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome.
