CARBON LITERACY TRAINING FOR WEDDING PROFESSIONALS
Kickstart the global Carbon Literacy Action Day (CLAD) week with us! On 9th November, we are hosting an in-person Carbon Literacy Training that’s never been done before: Lego Serious Play meets Climate Action.
While thousands around the world will be completing their training online later in the week, we are bringing it to life in person, with a twist. This will be the first-ever Carbon Literacy course using Lego serious play methodology. We believe that building with bricks engages parts of the brain that slides alone can’t reach. By physically constructing models of the climate system, your carbon footprint, and your future action plan, you’ll gain a deeper, more memorable understanding of the crisis and your role in solving it.
Why Attend?
- Certification: Complete the accredited Carbon Literacy Project course and earn your certificate as part of the global CLAD community.
- Unique Methodology: Experience our new interactive approach using Lego serious play methodology to visualise complex climate concepts.
- Community: Connect with fellow wedding and events professionals who are ready to lead with impact.
- Action-Oriented: Leave with a concrete, personalised action plan for both personal and professional carbon reduction.
Who Should Attend?
Venues, planners, caterers, florists, and any wedding industry professional looking to move beyond "greenwashing" to genuine, confident sustainability leadership.
What to Expect
- Interactive sessions (no boring lectures!)
- Hands-on activities
- Peer collaboration and networking
- Refreshments included
Ticket Price: £95 (inc. £15 certification fee)
Limited places available due to the interactive nature of the workshop
On successful completion of your Carbon Literacy training, after submitting your actions, you can become certified as ‘Carbon Literate’, joining more than 160,000+ others, and including business leaders across multiple sectors. By taking part in this course, you will join individuals and team members across other businesses including the NHS, Patagonia and the BBC to become ‘Carbon Literate’, helping to embed a widespread low-carbon culture.
After completing the course, you’ll be required to complete a Participant Evidence form which will then be sent to the Carbon Literacy Project for approval. Once the form has been approved you will receive your certificate.
What others have said…
“A highly practical action-focussed training that I'd urge any venue, wedding pro or frankly responsible human to attend. Whilst it tackled some very hard hitting facts, Michelle presented it in an empowering way, with science and evidence to back up, meaning that I left feeling that I could make a difference in my own actions and by those discussions I can now confidently open up and influence both at home and in my venue consultancy work.” Kelly Chandler Consultancy
"The Carbon Literacy course by the Sustainable Wedding Alliance was a real eye opener. Sustainability is such a broad subject and doing this course made me realise that I hadn’t even scratched the sustainability surface! I’d recommend anyone and everyone should do this course but especially if you’re a small business on your sustainability journey!" Mercedes from 4YaParty Weddings and Events
"We hosted Carbon Literacy Training for Wedding Professionals from the Sustainable Wedding Alliance for our team and regular suppliers. We found the course to be invaluable in educating those within our business on the impact of climate change and inspiring change. As a result of the course, our team are actively seeking sustainable solutions to the many problems we face and are deeply invested in the changes we wish to make. The course is superbly delivered; understandable without being over-simplified and offers practical and achievable routes to progress. We couldn't recommend more highly." Amy, Crockwell Farm
