Wild River Walk Three -Spott/Brox Burn Lower Reaches

An exploratory walk with Renatus Derbridge

The third of three 'Wild River Walks' (every last Sunday of Jan, Feb and Mar) exploring the Brox Burn (which becomes the Spott Burn upstream) from the river's point of view. We will stay as close as possible to the water and let the river be our teacher. Where we meet puzzles we will pause, share observations and ask what this shows about access, land-use, history, wildlife and possible futures -and about our relationship to this place.
It will be an exploratory, playful co-discovery (not a formal guided tour)!

We will meet and start the walk at the A1087 road bridge over the Brox Burn near the entrance to Brandsmill.

FREE. All welcome.

Please book a place as numbers are limited.

It's not a challenging walk but is on uneven and sometimes boggy ground with some walking through water. Wellies essential! Please bring appropriate clothing and water/snacks.
