Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation is hosted onsite and includes an overview of the volunteer handbook, site history, safety procedures, and volunteer expectations, followed by a guided walkthrough of the Sutro Tunnel and Site.

At the conclusion of the  orientation, volunteers will participate in a short graduation ceremony and receive access to volunteer opportunities within the organization.

After completing this orientation, volunteers may begin participating in roles including docent services, restoration support, archives assistance, visitor services, and event support.
