Creating Variations & Breaks for Songs & Tunes in Clawhammer

I've had quite a number of requests for this topic. I'll explore several strategies for embellishing a melody, creating interesting tune variations, or coming up with a good, solid break. Here are some areas we'll likely explore.
- Triplets and grace notes
- Changing octaves
- Applying rhythmic "push and pull" (syncopation) and ragtime-like licks
- Using arpeggios and major-scale based formulas guided by the underlying harmony/chord structure
- Converting a diatonic melody to pentatonic (nd vice versa)

Prerequisite: at a least one year playing experience; you should be pretty good at drop-thumbing, hammer-ons and pull-offs
