Creating Variations & Breaks for Songs & Tunes in Clawhammer

I've had quite a number of requests for this topic. I'll explore several strategies for embellishing a melody, creating interesting tune variations, or coming up with a good, solid break. Here are some areas we'll likely explore.

• Triplets and grace notes
• Changing octaves
• Applying rhythmic "push and pull" (syncopation) and ragtime-like licks
• Using arpeggios and major-scale based formulas guided by the underlying harmony/chord structure
• Converting a diatonic melody to pentatonic (nd vice versa)
