First, you’ll learn the shapes and how to integrate them into drop-thumbing and double-thumbing patterns. Then you’ll learn how to create musical phrases by surrounding or interspersing the notes in these shapes with open or fretted long strings, the open fifth string, or – once we get above fret 5 – the fretted 5^th string.
