10:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm

Throughout the day Wolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be teaching two sessions of fused glass making techniques. You are welcome to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop or you can attend both sessions for the day at a discounted price. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.  Your workshop ticket also entitles you to full entry to the Manor and Gardens, Café, Gallery and shop!

The schedule for the day is as follows:

Morning Session 10:30am-12:30pm: Shape, Cut & Create Workshop – Learn the core technical skills behind fused‑glass art in this focused 2‑hour workshop. You’ll get hands‑on with glass‑cutting tools, practice precision cutting techniques, and explore how to layer and assemble glass effectively. With plenty of materials, accessories and guidance, you’ll design and build your own fused‑glass picture tile from scratch in the colours of your choice—perfect for anyone wanting to deepen their technical abilities while creating something beautifully unique.

Lunch (not provided) 12:30-1:30pm. Wightwick Manor has a café on site and many areas for enjoying your lunch in the fresh air if the weather suits.

Afternoon Session 1:30pm-3:30pm: Glass Jewellery Techniques Workshop - Each participant will be able to create several jewellery items using different techniques and accessories. You will learn about glass decals and try out various techniques to see how simple costume jewellery featuring fused glass can be created. If you have any metal allergies please contact Suzie. You will make between 6 and 10 small glass pieces which will be fitted with a selection of metal findings when you collect them.

Participants who are regular attendees of Suzie’s workshops are welcome to make different projects to save repetition if they contact Suzie in advance.

All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later.
Places are limited and expected to book up very quickly. Suitable for adults and for teens age 13 and over, under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Your workshop tickets also include full entry to the Manor and Gardens.
