Swanage Folk Festival

Swanage Folk Festival is a fabulous family weekend festival by the sea.

Over 20 top Folk bands from across Europe on stage

More dance sides than any other UK festival.

It's run by volunteers with the aim of covering costs and donating to local good causes.

The weekend is packed with concerts, workshops and dance events, for the full programme visit www.swanagefolkfestival.com. Tickets are available for each concert, or you can save money and get a weekend wrist band. 

Concerts are on the main stage each evening (Friday - Sunday), entrance by ticket only. 

The hub of the festival is on Sandpit Field where you'll find our main stage, festival bar, festival information tent, food stalls and dozens of colourful craft stalls.  There's even free daytime entertainment on the main stage. Well behaved dogs are allowed on Sandpit field, and in the main stage during the day time, subject to terms. However dogs are not permitted in the main marquee for evening concerts or any of our other venues.

We also fill the town with music, dance and smiles. You can take part in our workshop programme, music sessions in the local pubs and for something more energetic visit our festival ceilidh on Saturday night.

Traditional dance teams fill the town during the days and a spectacular dance parade will take place on Saturday afternoon. All the dance sides ask in return is loud applause and your spare small change (better still notes)..
