Celebrating 20 Years of Health and Care Research

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the National Institute for Health and Care Research. Since our inception in 2006, we have been at the heart of health and care research in the UK.

We couldn’t have achieved what we have without the dedication of everyone involved - from research participants, public partners and contributors, carers, healthcare professionals, clinicians, academics, industry, charities and partners across the health and care research system.

This event celebrates all that we have achieved together, and the impact it has had on the UK’s health research ecosystem. We will be marking some of our most significant achievements, reflecting on shared successes and looking forward to the future.

As we celebrate 20 years of the NIHR, this event embodies the NIHR pillars of impact, inclusion, innovation, and investment.

The event will be delivered in a hybrid format, offering attendees the flexibility to join us either in person or online.
