Sweden Game Conference 2025

Every year, Sweden Game Conference gathers the Swedish games industry in Skövde.

We welcome students, junior and senior developers, game companies, startups, researchers, teachers, politicians, investors and decision makers to enjoy our two-day conference in October.

Business Day – Thursday, October 23
Sweden Game Conference kicks off with a full day dedicated to indies, startups and business development in the games industry. Expect sharp insights and real-world experiences through talks and panel discussions focused on entrepreneurship, funding and what it takes to grow as an independent developer.

The day also features Sweden Game Pitch (not available with student/unemployed tickets), where selected studios from across Sweden pitch their latest projects live on stage. 

You’ll also want to check out The Indiecator - the expo area where indie teams from all over the country showcase their newest playable builds. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover innovative projects and connect directly with their creators.

In addition, a dedicated meeting area will be available throughout the day for meetings between developers, publishers, investors, and other industry professionals.

Dev & Career Day – Friday, October 24
The second day of the conference shifts the spotlight to the art and science of game development, from design and programming to audio, art and production. Talks and panels will dive into the creative and technical sides of building games, as well as how to break into the games industry.

This day is especially valuable for emerging talent. Game students can get hands-on advice in portfolio reviews and explore future career paths at the Career Fair, where local studios present what they do and who they’re looking for.

The Indiecator remains open, giving you more time to test innovative projects and meet the dev teams behind them. The conference wraps up with an award ceremony, celebrating standout teams with honors including Pitch of the Year, Indiecator of the Year and the Skövde Academic Game Award.
