Description
This class focuses on basic postures, alignment and breathing; all at a slow pace. The class is a hybrid of hatha, iyengar, vinyasa and yin yoga. Poses will be held for several breaths allowing the student to get into the pose (asana) at their own pace. Holding the poses can make the class challenging for even an experience yogi!
There is no previous experience required; this class is appropriate for all levels of yoga. This is a slow paced practice with great attention to detail and alignment with fun music in the background!
This class is perfect for beginners, seniors, those dealing with an injury or any level yogi that wants to slow down, focus on alignment, and increase flexibility and strength by holding the poses longer than a traditional vinyasa class. Holding poses is great for overall health, it builds strength as well as flexibility and is great for bone health. Use of props is encouraged.
