Swig & Solve brings people together around a handcrafted wooden mystery chest for a relaxed, memorable evening of locks, compartments, hands-on puzzles and shared discoveries.

It has some of the satisfying discovery of an escape room, but in a much more relaxed social setting. Your group stays around its own table throughout, so there is no locked room, no countdown pressure and no need to race.

The puzzles are designed to be enjoyable and rewarding, with enough challenge to feel satisfying while still keeping the evening moving. Your pirate host will guide the experience, bring a little humour to proceedings and offer a helpful nudge whenever your group needs one.

And finding the treasure is only part of the evening. Afterwards, your group can continue with the Tavern Menu — a selection of larger bonus challenges to explore together.

Swig & Solve is welcoming to first-timers, so you certainly don’t need to be a puzzle expert. Take your time, order a drink, chat things through and enjoy discovering what’s inside together.

A pirate-themed mystery packed with locks, compartments, unusual objects, bespoke puzzles and plenty of surprises.

Each successful solution opens up something new as your group works its way deeper into the chest and towards the treasure.

It’s designed around discovery, shared problem-solving and those satisfying moments when everything suddenly clicks into place.

Finding the treasure doesn’t mean the evening is over.

Once your group has completed the main chest, you can choose from a themed selection of larger bonus challenges.

Some offer quicker, satisfying wins. Others provide something with a little more bite. Pick the ones that intrigue your group and see how many more discoveries you can make together.

The Tavern Menu adds another layer to the experience and helps turn Swig & Solve into a full evening out rather than simply finishing when the final lock opens.

👥 Who is it for?

Swig & Solve is designed for groups of friends, workmates, couples booking together and other small groups looking for something genuinely different from the usual evening out.

No previous puzzle or escape-room experience is needed. The challenges are varied, different people often notice different things, and friendly help is always close by if your group needs it.

If you like the idea of clues, locks and discovery but prefer something more relaxed and social than a traditional escape room, Swig & Solve could be right up your street.

£15 per person

Book as a group of 4–6 players and your group will receive its own dedicated mystery chest.

Group spaces are limited.

Suitable for ages 16+. Under-18s must attend alongside an adult. Individual venue age policies may apply.

⏱️ Around two hours

Please allow around two hours for the full experience, including the main mystery chest and your choice of Tavern Menu bonus challenges.

There is no countdown clock and no pressure to rush. Take your time, enjoy a drink, talk things through and make an evening of the experience together.

Your group stays at its own table throughout, so there are natural opportunities to pause, chat and enjoy each new discovery.

Please arrive around 10 minutes early so you can find your table, order a drink and be ready to begin.

📸 Photos and sharing

You are welcome to take photographs with the chest before the game begins, while the puzzle materials and compartments remain closed.

Once gameplay starts, please avoid photographing or filming clues, open compartments or puzzle materials. This helps preserve the surprises for future groups.

We may take a few general atmosphere photographs or short video clips during the evening for Swig & Solve promotion, but we will never deliberately show close-up puzzle solutions or secret game content.

Please speak to us before the game begins if you would prefer not to appear in photographs or video.

ℹ️ Good to know

Swig & Solve is a fully hosted, table-based social experience. You won’t be locked inside a room, and there is no running around the venue or searching in the dark.

The puzzles are designed to be enjoyable and rewarding, with enough challenge to feel satisfying while still keeping the evening moving. Your host will always be nearby if your group needs a little help.

Each group of 4–6 players receives its own mystery chest for the evening.
