King of the Thames 2027

An Iconic 3km river swim from Hampton Court to Kingston

After a spectacular inaugural year with over 300 swimmers taking to the water, we are excited to announce the return of King of the Thames in 2027! Same legendary route (3km swim along the Thames from Hampton Court), same post-swim festival buzz at a new location, same unmissable event.

Swim through history on one of the most famous rivers in the world. The King of the Thames is a landmark 3km open water river swim from Hampton Court. Starting in the shadow of Henry VIII’s palace, you’ll follow the gentle curve of the Thames downstream, swimming one of London’s most beautiful and storied stretches of river, before emerging to music, barbecue and prize giving at the finish.

An iconic, non-competitive swim designed to connect people and place.
