Friday Night Wine School - Oktoberwein, Tasty Selections from Germany

Join us for our attendance-limited, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Tastings are held on the back patio with a max of 10 people per time slot.

We thought it might be nice to have an alternative to the beer-focused festivities and show you some fantastic German wines instead!   Come celebrate the spirit of Oktoberfest -  there is no better time to get acquainted — or re-acquainted — with the refreshing wines of Germany, one of the world’s coolest growing regions. While often overlooked, the wines typically are high-quality, versatile, food-friendly and crowd-pleasing with their vibrant fruit and often with bracing acidity.

Our friends at Uncorked have a portfolio that is chock full of great German wines from importers like Vom Boden and Selection Massale, both of which are known for authentic wines.  Both portfolios focus primarily on small German growers, who are dedicated to showcasing and preserving the uniqueness of their vineyard sites and use a non-interventionist touch in the vineyard and cellar. This will be a SUPER lineup of whites, rosé, deliciously chillable reds and maybe a little surprise selection. We'll be working with Alex Minton to determine the wines and as it tends to go with these events, the hardest part is narrowing it down to 4 or 5 wines to present - so the lineup is TBA but we promise you will love it!

-All ticket sales are final.
-We will hold our tastings outside on the patio from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Fridays weather permitting, if it rains we move inside to the back of the shop.
-Your $5 tasting fee is refunded when you purchase a bottle of wine from the tasting. Limit 1 refund per bottle per customer.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for your time slot, as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot, you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over, you can browse and shop or enjoy a glass or bottle at our indoor and outdoor tables.
