Friday Night Wine School - Trust Your Importer, Broadbent Selections

Join us for our attendance-limited, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Tastings are held on the back patio with a max of 12 people per time slot.

Broadbent Selections is not a name you hear as often as say Kermit Lynch, or Rosenthal Wine Merchants or Louis/Dressner, but that makes them no less important in the world of wine. Representing only 50 producers at any given time, its reputation for curating a high-quality and unique portfolio has made Broadbent a prominent player, especially in niche and specialty wines. The company's focus on authenticity, tradition, and sustainability has earned it respect and recognition among wine enthusiasts and professionals.

The company was founded in 1996 by Bartholomew Broadbent, son of wine critic, author, auctioneer and Master of Wine, Michael Broadbent. Growing up in a wine-focused family, Bartholomew developed a deep appreciation and knowledge of wine from an early age. His work has had a considerable impact on the wine industry, particularly in the U.S., where he has helped elevate the profile of many wines and wine regions that were previously underrepresented.

This carefully curated portfolio of high-quality and unique wines focuses on Europe and South Africa but is particularly noted for its selections from Portugal, especially Madieras and Ports. Join Wesley Kohler-Bergere as we explore 5 high-quality wines that represent the breadth of this thoughtful portfolio.

Learn a little, drink a little and have some fun with us!

-All ticket sales are final.
-We will hold our tastings outside on the patio from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Fridays weather permitting, if it rains we move inside to the back of the shop.
-Your $5 tasting fee is refunded when you purchase a bottle of wine from the tasting. Limit 1 refund per bottle per customer.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for your time slot, as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot, you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over, you can browse and shop or enjoy a glass or bottle at our indoor and outdoor tables.
