Croatia, Slovenia, Abruzzo - Wines of the Adriatic

Join us for our socially-distanced, attendance-limited, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Tastings are held on the patio (weather permitting) or privately in the back of the store.

Crystal clear waters, consistent climate, salty ocean breezes, rugged rocky coastlines - Croatia, Slovenia and the eastern coast of Italy all enjoy the magnificent effects of the Adriatic Sea. The vineyards here are strongly influenced by the Alps that bring cold air in the evenings, prolonging the ripening season and retaining acidity levels. Sea breezes from the Adriatic during the day keep vineyards cool, dry and disease free. A wine lover's dream, these areas have been producing wine for centuries using indigenous varieties that complement their cuisine and lifestyles. In our Friday tasting this week we'll highlight 4 wine regions that benefit from their proximity to the Adriatic sea, delivering beautiful, unique wines that will make you want to dive deeper into these culturally rich areas. We'll feature- 2 reds, a white and a rosé (sort of).

Yes, this will be very different from our pre-COVID event, as we strive to bring our Friday tasting back in a safe environment.  Same quality wines, same professional presenters just a few changes in how and when you taste.  

Here's how it will work: 
-We will hold our tasting from 5 PM to 7:30 PM on Fridays
-You will need to sign up for a time slot where you will taste with 5 other people. It is $5 to attend but you will receive that $5 back with the purchase of a bottle of any of the wines presented. If you are a couple or with a group, you can purchase up to 6 spots for a time slot if available. Use the green button above to reserve your spots.  $5 refund is one per attendee per bottle from the event only.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for you time slot as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-Masks are mandatory while in the store but can be removed for tasting.  Presenter and all staff members are masked.
-Social distancing is required when shopping and tasting
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over you can browse and shop.  
-We can not yet serve you a glass of wine for on premise consumption, however we are happy to be able to sell you one to enjoy at our outdoor tables or to go!
