Friday Night Wine School with Importer Kimberly Jones

Join us for our attendance-limited, proof of vaccine, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Tastings are held on the back patio with a max of 8 people per time slot.

Louisiana born, Arkansas raised and California resident Kimberly Jones has worked every aspect of the wine business, from sales rep, to broker, distributor, vineyard owner, winemaker and importer.  She walked into the shop one day with 2 bags full of her imports and we instantly fell in love with her and her portfolio.  We taste wine with lots of importers, but rarely do we connect with both the person and their wines - 20 wines later we felt like long lost friends, immediately scheduled a tasting on her next visit, and here we are!

Kimberly's experience and connections have opened doors to some of the best winemakers in the world. But those kind of pedigrees in small production wine equates to high demand and high price tags.  True to her entrepreneurial spirit,  she wanted to find away to offer that style and quality of wines to her customers but without the hefty price.  So she began contracts with world renowned winemakers and wineries to make a special bottling with no mention of who or where it was made - just a cool fun label that means something to her. An example is a Bordeaux blend we've been carrying for awhile now - Arbalest is made by French native, Napa super-star winemaker Benoit Touquette with fruit from a famous, but unnamed Chateau in Saint Estephe.   This is the type of story that represents the wines we will be showing on Friday.

We hope you'll join us and that you too will also love her and her wines.  There will be Italian, French and maybe a little California thrown in... these are special wines with special stories, great labels and fabulous juice!

-Proof of vaccination or negative covid test are required to attend.  We highly recommend using the LA Wallet app for proof of vaccine.
-You sign up for a time slot where you will taste with 7 other people. It is $5 to attend but you will receive that $5 back with the purchase of a bottle of any of the wines presented. If you are a couple or with a group, you can purchase up to 8 spots for a time slot if available. Use the green button above to reserve your spots.  $5 refund is one per attendee per bottle from the event only.
-We will hold our tasting outside on the patio from 5:30 PM to 8 PM on Fridays weather permitting. If it rains we will use the back of the shop.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for you time slot as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over you can browse and shop or enjoy a glass or bottle at our indoor and outdoor tables.
