Friday Night Wine School - The Iberian Peninsula, the Underrated Stars of Portugal & Spain

Join us for our attendance-limited, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Tastings are held on the back patio with a max of 10 people per time slot.

Between an amazing number of native grape varieties and a long history of wine production started by the ancient Phoenicians, the countries of the Iberian Peninsula – Spain and Portugal – have reaped the benefit of thousands of years of experience in winemaking. A combination of regional styles and unique native grapes offer wine drinking experiences you won’t find anywhere else.   Both countries benefit from their proximity to the sea and diverse terroirs, producing everything from sparkling, whites, reds, rosé and fortified wines.  

On Friday,  May 13th, Rebeca Pinhas and James Moises from Bizou Wines will join us for a diverse selection of wines from the Iberian peninsula featuring artisanal wines from native varieties showcased in the Olé & Obrigado portfolio - Olé & Obrigado represents a collection of fine wines crafted by family-owned wineries in Spain and Portugal. A collaboration among business partners Patrick Mata, Alberto Orte and Rui Abecassis, Olé & Obrigado is a highly specialized wine import company offering the most comprehensive and well-curated collection of wines from the Iberian Peninsula available in the U.S.

-We will hold our tasting outside on the patio from 5:30 PM to 8 PM on Fridays weather permitting, if it rains we move inside to the back of the shop.
-Your $5 tasting fee is refunded when you purchase a bottle of wine from the tasting. Limit 1 refund per bottle per customer.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for you time slot as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over you can browse and shop or enjoy a glass or bottle at our indoor and outdoor tables.
