Friday Night Wine School Road Trip Down the Pan American Highway, Part I

Fri Sep 9, 2022 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CDT Swirl, 70119

Join us for our attendance-limited, signup-only Friday night tasting!  Depending upon the weather, tastings are held on the patio or the back of the shop with a max of 10 people per time slot.

It starts in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, travels 15,000 miles through 14 countries, and some of the most famous wine regions in the world before it ends in Ushuaia, Argentina. The Pan America Highway (or Pacific Coast) is known as the longest in the world because it connects 2 continents, north to south. And it gives us a great opportunity to show off some of our favorite wines from the Americas.

First up will be Brian Fuller taking us through some of the best wine regions in North America showing you classic wines and some surprises Producers are TBA, but we have a lot of great wine to choose from with producers like Foxen, Anne Amie, Sandhi, Cooper Mountain - I'll update the post as soon as we have a lineup. Sign up here for Part I.

On the second leg of our road trip, Alex Minton (September 16) will take us to South America showing wines from Argentina and Chile from one of our favorite importers, Brazos Wine - they import wine from growers located in some of the most highly regarded sub-regions of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay and focus on artisan, single vineyard, small production, estate grown, eco friendly wines. It's been a minute since we did a Brazos Friday tasting and we're excited to show you some delicious new wines! Sign up here for Part II

Here's how it will work:

-You sign up for a time slot where you will taste with 9 other people. It is $5 to attend but you will receive that $5 back with the purchase of a bottle of any of the wines presented. If you are a couple or with a group, you can purchase up to 10 spots for a time slot if available. Use the green button above to reserve your spots.  $5 refund is one per attendee per bottle from the event only.
-We will hold our tasting outside on the patio from 5:30 PM to 8 PM on Fridays weather permitting. If it rains we bring the event inside to the back of the store.
-Please arrive 5 minutes early for your time slot as we may not be able to move you to another spot.
-No waiting in line for your taste of wine in a plastic cup and snippet of info. During your time slot, you will have the presenter's undivided attention as you learn about and taste the wines from Riedel glassware.
-When your tasting is over you can browse and shop or enjoy a glass or bottle at our indoor and outdoor tables.
