God Emperor, June 2023

Ten thousand years ago, The God Emperor and his infinite army came to the mortal realm. In a single night they took over the continent, slew the demon who ruled here and built the mountains from its bones.

He has ruled with an iron fist ever since: perfect, infallible, and eternal. You know this because everyone says so, in public. There’s nothing to contradict it. He burnt all the history books.

Now, though, you hear the same people also whisper blasphemy: The God Emperor grows weak.

Tickets on sale from 9am, Monday 17 April.

God Emperor is a megagame designed by Jack McNamee and renowned across the globe. It’s a game of dark fantasy politics, intrigue and war, where players take on the roles of ancient, noble houses vying for some semblance of control (or just survival) in a dangerous and post-apocalyptic realm.

About the Day

• The game will be held on Saturday, 3 June at Harold Park Community Hall in Sydney.
• Light rail from Central gets you there very quickly, but there is also a smattering of parking around the area, and several bus routes.
• Doors will open around 9:30am on the day, and we’ll likely be at the venue through to 5pm.
• There will likely be an after-event at a local pub or bar. More information about that will be circulated to players before the day.
• The game is a full day, without any formal breaks. Light refreshments will be purchasable at the venue, but players are encouraged to bring or organise lunch. The venue is nearby plenty of grocers and takeaway stores.

Ticketing info

• Tickets are sold by team, with 5 tickets available for each team. Please do not purchase tickets if you do not have a confirmed attendee for them.
• You can read a short introduction to the different teams here, however note that teams are ultimately asynchronous in the game and only differ narratively and thematically.
• If you miss out, or are unable to attend the game on this date, there will be a ‘waiting list’ link posted on our website after all tickets have sold out which will give you priority for tickets to future God Emperor games.
