Let Zero Show Home Visits

You are invited to visit the Let Zero Show Home – a private rented property in Sheffield that has received a transformative whole-house retrofit.

This unique demonstrator trialled innovative approaches to the manufacture and installation of wood fibre internal wall insulation, dry-fit brick-effect external wall insulation, air-source heat pumps, solar panels and battery, all designed to minimise disruption for tenants, who continued living in the property while the work was carried out.

This Show Home forms part of the Innovate UK-funded Let Zero Project led by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, which is focused on developing trusted pathways and scalable technologies to improve energy efficiency in the private rented sector and meet future housing standards.

Programme

Each visit will be 45 minutes, including a guided tour of the property and information on the range of measures used. There will also be chance to speak with experts involved in delivering the works, and to hear directly from the landlord about their experience of the retrofit process.

The property is located in the Tinsley area of Sheffield, which is accessible by car and public transport. Further details will be shared once your booking is confirmed.
