SAAUK Peak District Hike

When: 9am - 2pm BST, Saturday 22nd August

What: Join us for one of the Peak District's most iconic walks, taking in the spectacular summit of Mam Tor, the famous Great Ridge, and sweeping views across the beautiful Edale Valley.

Starting from Hope Station (Derbyshire), we’ll make our way to the historic village of Castleton before climbing through the dramatic limestone scenery of Cave Dale onto Mam Tor. From here, we’ll follow the stunning Great Ridge, enjoying panoramic views over both the Hope and Edale Valleys, before descending back into Castleton.

The walk covers approximately 10 km over approximately 3 hours at a steady, social pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy the scenery. We’ll finish with an optional group lunch in one of Castleton’s welcoming cafe’s before making the short walk back to Hope Station for return trains.
